from the ether (I-love-my-job edition)

[Last time I posted one of these, Anna wanted to know what the hell the title meant. Back when I was doing data entry all day I spent my free minutes collecting nifty (and not-so-nifty) links to news stories and blog entries. Then I'd post them all to my lj under the title "from the ether" (meaning: collected from the ether of the internet." So that's that.]

* Cute tin stars made from soda cans.

* Cat-burglar joule thief: little hand-made electronics that suck the last of the power from old batteries so they can be recycled. Cute and you get to play with simple electronics.

[Gods, the world is boring today. Somebody do *something* interesting while I'm at work. Better yet, comment on this with some better links, cause I suck today.]
