sneaking in a post from work

I've been trying to figure out a way of dealing with the boredome situation at work.

Already listened to all the comedy albums on the iPod.

Thought about iPod radio attachment but this iPod is too old (plus it needs to be constantly connected to power, so I can't even attach the thing).

Can't put anything new on the iPod because its got a firewire cord rather than USB (of course I could buy a new cord).

Been trying every combination I can think of to make this work, and suddenly it hits me:

buy a radio

Simple and effective -- buy a five dollar radio and listen to it at work.

Yay. I can't wait for lunch, I'll be trying to track one down.

Well...there goes that idea.

I rushed out on my lunch break full of glee, trying to track down a radio.

Found one, rushed back. Inserted batteries, set everything up.

No signal.

Not a one.

The building must be blocking *everything*.

Sigh.

Back to my complicated drawing board.
