(no subject)

I just finished watching Angel the Series all the way through.

Joss Whedon I HATE you!

You've consistently killed every, I mean every, character that I've loved.

Damn you!

But, I have to say, that was the best way to end that series. All of the characters going out in a fight...

I loved that finale.

ugh, I'm blanking on the end - but I didn't really watch it after the 2nd season either..

Short spoiler synopsis: everyone dies in grand heroic style, fighting the good fight.

*grin* more than at the end of Buffy?

Buffy won, and most of the team survived. The Angel gang *all* die, and do so fighting what amounts to all the forces of evil amassed from every dimension. They lose. They go down fighting, which is the point, but they lose. (Well, they won the particular skirmish just prior, which messed up some major evil plans, but that caused the senior partners to set 'all the evil everywhere' on the team. They all die, or so the ending implies -- they don't actually show the final battle or final deaths, but they clearly imply that everyone buys it. (Officially, we don't know for SURE that the final four standing actually die.)
