Ok one last post and then I'll try and get out of your hair.
School project stuff.
My final requirement to graduate is an intensive readings course. I have to design a list of 25-30 secondary source books and articles that I think fit with a particular topic. My topic is the historical development of Pagan studies. What that means is, reading the books that have been published on the topic over time, from the early proto Pagan studies stuff (stuff that dealt with each group individually or as New Religious Movements (read: cults) or as counter-cultural rather than religious movements) all the way up to the current year's publications.
This is the list I have so far, in no particular order. Some of these are books I love, some are those I detest -- trying to get a very broad understanding of what's been published in the field. Any thoughts?
* Drawing Down the Moon
* Researching Paganism
* Contemporary Paganism
* Voices from the Pagan Census
* Persuasions of the Witch's Craft
* Triumph of the Moon
* The Druid Renaissance (?)
* "Going Native in Reverse"
* Enchanted Feminism
* Never Again the Burning Times
* Earthly Bodies, Magical Selves
* Magical Religion and Modern Witchcraft
* Nine-Worlds of Seid-Magic
* Paganism Today
* Living in the Lap of the Goddess
* The Goddess Unmasked (?)
* The Myth of Matriarchal Prehistory
* Changing of the Gods (?)
* Gimbutas? Murray?
* The Rebirth of Druidry (?)
* Witching Culture
* Neo-Pagan Sacred Art and Altars
* Crafting the Art of Magic
* Razor for a Goat (?)
