sleepymaggie* I have the strangest urge to make a pinata -- like a full-on, crepe paper covered mess. Filled with lots of random stuff. Once I got the damn thing made I wouldn't know what to do with it -- i wouldn't be able to beat it up and there aren't any handy random people around to do the dirty work. Pinata pinata pinata!
* Again the weirdness: I want to cook something with chickpeas. Any suggestions? I've been looking at some different Med and Indian recipes, but nothing's caught my eye yet. Any thoughts?
* My cat is mopey. He just knows exactly how to position himself to create the maximum amount of sulk. And he does it right where you can see him.
* When I was in high school, I was really interested in Emma Goldman, but I haven't thought of her in a long time. Lately, Emma's been popping up everywhere. The best example: I just recently found a copy of a play about her life by Howard Zinn. How cool is that? I adore Zinn and Emma -- and now I have them both in one package!
* I've recently also rediscovered my old scifi/fantasy roots. I've been trying to read classics that I've never read before or read a really long time ago. This week I've been on a big Ursula K. Le Guin kick. Her later stuff is quite marvelous and I can see how the early stuff (Earthsea) has had a big impact on other works in the genre. But mostly I love her for her metaphors and politics.
Anything else odd I can discuss? Apparently not.
