Spent more time at the haunted house. Today I helped to demolish a room's ceiling tiles with a broom. This resulted in a dead mouse falling out of the ceiling and being pointed out by Pat to me. Which resulted in me not completely finishing the demolition. Today also featured lots of protective gear -- facemasks and goggles and rubber gloves. That's how dirty and dusty and filthy this place is. Pics forthcoming.
Got a call from Joanne fabrics today. I am to report next tuesday at 10am for my first day of work. Woohoo. The dress code is black or khaki pants and a "white shirt with a collar." I'm pretty sure I own pants fitting that description, but I'm not entirely sure what to make of the shirt. I may have to purchase something.
I'm in the middle of reading Egil's saga. Interesting so far. I think I'm going to read my big "Sagas of Icelanders" cover to cover (reading some for the first time and others for a second) and then move on to the other books in the stack. Yeah, I actually hunted around my house and stacked up all my Norse books. Seems impressive enough to me.
More than likely Pat and I will be taking thursday to work on various projects -- hopefully he can get off of work.
Hmmm... I'm really bored and that's a sad thing. I have lots of things to read, but mainly what I really want to read is livejournal entries and emails from friends. But I think its already after nine back home, so maybe most people are away from their computers.
Yuck, even after a shower I still feel buggy from the work at the house today.
We have a watermelon in our living room (well its not really the living room, really its the one-room first floor of the apartment). Need to eat it.
This is really a much more random post than I at first intended. Probably not all that interesting either. Ok, I guess I'll go read.
