My new glasses snapped in half yesterday. I just got them in the summer, only about six months ago. They were my first new frames in about ten years and my first new lenses in about five.

Snapped right in half.

Technically I can wear my old glasses, with the very old prescription -- but right now Pat and I can't locate them. They've gone off somewhere on their own.

I'm for all intents-and-purposes blind without my glasses or contacts. Without any assistance I see nothing but fuzzy blocks of color and I have practically no night vision at all. This is a problem because I generally need to have my contacts out for a certain amount of time each day.

So yeah. New frames will have to be purchased. Since Pat lost his job, we also lost our insurance, so that'll be an out-of-pocket expense. Woohoo. And they'll have to be special ordered (again) because of the high prescription. Woohoo.

Sorry all, I'm just being mopey. The show tonight was super, even though lots of people were ill feeling. Hope everyone feels better soon.
