Mildly amusing, but mostly infuriating. And their tickets are a charming $50 a pop (I should know, I collected three of them).
I highly recommend parking in Sears lot off ...Ryders Lane, I think (?) - it's off Route 1, and taking the bus to College Ave. It -may- be faster than parking at Busch.
Other idea (if your schedule works with the bus schedule) is parking on one of the backstreets of Highland Park, and taking the NJTransit 814 into New Brunswick. Bus is running a free special for most of September ( http://www.njtransit.com/nn_college.shtml ), and beyond that the expense shouldn't outweigh the cost of parking permit (which is obscene and evil for being as useless as it is) - http://www.njtransit.com/sf_bu_schedules.shtml .
Most parking decks run something ridiculous like 1.50 an hour, and the meters are 1, if you can find one - but still, that's 1 class = 3 hours a week x 3, so nine bucks. There's a lot of weeks in the semester to do that. There -might- be a cheaper monthly rate at a few of them, I'm not honestly sure. This downtown parking map is really useful if you want to go that route ( http://www.njnbpa.org/ ).
I struggled with this issue all last semester, being a commuter student. Forgive me for talking too much if you already this stuff? Just trying to help.
The Rutgers parking permit system is psychotically rage inducing.
