The cookie-blitz is *almost* over. Our tired-almost-3am brand of strange humor went into the decoration of the cookie packages.
As promised last year, there are dinosaurs at this year's Yule. In the oven right now are three adorable salt dough dinosaurs. There are also cartoon dinosaurs (and things that wish they were dinosaurs) on our cookie packages. Hurray for long dead things!
(The cats are most perplexed by our late night up-ness.)
Going to Rocky every week is great practice for staying up all night. I can remember years past (four or five years ago) where the vigil was an intense struggle for me. I was just not a night person. Now I'm pretty used to being up until 5 or 6 in the morning. Score.
Things left to do: Contemplate making bubble bread (very good middle of the night bread); finish cookie-blitz; drive drive drive.
(My shirt is entirely covered in flour, corn starch, and confectioner's sugar.)
