Small Update

Happy New Year Everyone.
I've never really been big on NYE. Some years its a struggle just to get to midnight other years are just disappointing. Coming right after Yule it seems kinda lame, just staying up till midnight. And the general tradition of everyone counting along with the tv (ala Sesame street) when it gets to the time -- eh. Its always good if you get to be around fun people though.
Last night we went over to a friend's house with a couple of our other friends. Three couples having New Year's together. We played geeky games all night (Munchkin, Apples to Apples, Elixer). When midnight came we were in the middle of playing dominoes (my first time too -- I think I like that game). Didn't even pause in play to get champagne or turn on the tv or do anything really. And it didn't bother me one bit.
I still need to update about various things:
* How the trip went
* Them lovely pressies that I got
* Some books, some movies
* New list o' stuff to do
This will have to wait until after work. Its the most terrible thing in the world to have work (in the morning) on New Year's Day. Ugh, I feel like something crawled in my mouth to die and I get to cut fabric for crazy people. Huzzah.
Anyways, here's to hoping everyone had an acceptable celebration of the death of 2005 -- cause that was a year that needed to go.
