Lots of things have happened since school ended and I've been too lazy to update till now.

Kt and Molly came to visit for about a week. It was wonderful having them here -- I really missed them. Since this was the first time anyone's come for a second visit, I wasn't entirely sure what to do with them. We spent a lot of time watching movies and just sitting around and talking, which was perfectly fine with me. Also went to the Denver Botanical Gardens and the Denver Zoo -- where I managed to get a terrible sunburn.

Then Krishan came to visit, which was wonderful as well. We mostly sat around and talked for the first three days he was here. The fourth day we managed to get out and do some things -- Celestial Seasonings, Boulder Falls, and Redstone Meadery.

I have to go through all the pics I took over the last two weeks and post some of them.

Yesterday Pat and I went down to Golden, to see the Coors factory and visit the town in general. The Coors tour was actually pretty interesting. Instead of just walking up to the building, they take you there in a tour bus, but only after they've taken you on a quick bus tour of Golden. Then they drop you off at the factory (which is this giant grey box that looms over Golden). The tour itself was ok, but I think I like Celestial Seasonings better. Afterwards, we wandered around Golden a bit, a town that was apparently the capitol of the territory before Colorado became a state.

Since we moved I've been really depressed about not being home - I miss all the little things about Jersey that make me happy. Krishan reminded me while he was here that I should enjoy CO, because some day I'll move back home and probably miss Boulder. With that in mind I'm going to try harder to see and do things while I'm out here, so that I don't regret missing out when I move back. Must compile a list.

Healthy!

I want to be more healthy -- since I think that's the root of many of my problems. This means better eating, some exercise, less junk, etc. I've been talking about working on my health for a while now (just ask Pat) but this time I really want to be serious about it. Its a really simple thing that everyone else has caught onto, just not me. If I exercise and eat food that's good for me, I'll have more energy (which means hopefully sleeping less), my mood will improve (and it has no where to go but up, at this point), and I won't feel half dead all the time (a definite plus).

One of the things that I'm really worried about is the lack of protein in my diet. Since I'm vegetarian I get lots of fat, fiber, and especially carbs, but little protein without serious effort. To combat this I've gotten myself some soy protein powder to mix with things - hopefully double good, since its protein and soy (which has lots of benefits by itself). My first test with it this morning was to mix it with orange juice, a combination that didn't taste all that bad, but had an awful texture. More experiments are in order.

I know a lot of you have fitness and health goals in mind -- does anyone have any suggestions? Any sort of advice for someone who is woefully unhealthy would be greatly appreciated.

I suppose I should do like everyone else and set-up a filter, so that I don't inundate people with my musings. If you'd like to be on the filter, post a comment.
