Kinky Boots.

If I think of some other good ones that you're unlikely to have seen (I'm not going to recommend The Princess Bride), I'll stop by again.

Second vote for Kinky Boots -- great movie.

Also, I'll recommend Keeping Mum, with Maggie Smith and Rowan Atkinson (even if you hate "Mr. Bean," see this, it's a great role for him and not at all annoying). Patrick Swayze as the slimey aging golf pro is particularly hysterical. Best movie I've seen in years.

I second this one heartily. In the trans genre, I also love Ma Vie En Rose and All About My Mother.

Also, just saw Crash and thought it was great. The newish one by that title, with Matt Dillon.

Slings and Arrows (Canadian television show I think you would enjoy this - it has theater and Mark McKinney!) Barton Fink, 2 Days in Paris, Away from Her, The Sea Inside, The Girl in the Cafe, The Baxter, Wings of Desire, The Tenant, Martin, Wonderfalls (tv show), Copenhagen

I just looked through past rentals. I'm not sure if you'll like all those, but you might. Who knows.

Some I've enjoyed recently:
